Though
Northland is not obligated to find off-campus employment for students,
every effort is made to refer students to contacts as they are
available. To work off campus, students must receive approval through
the Student Life Office. Students who are persistent often find
employment in the neighboring cities of Amberg, Dunbar, Pembine,
Beecher, Niagara, Kingsford, and Iron Mountain. Located a half hour
north of campus, the Michigan twin cities of Kingsford and Iron
Mountain especially offer many off-campus jobs through discount stores,
supermarkets, fast food chains, and a variety of other businesses.
